About Me
Hello! I'm Devendra, and I enjoy building software that solves real problems. Whether it's a DeFi protocol or a side project that brings an idea to life, I find fulfillment in the process of creating something useful.
I'm passionate about blockchain and decentralization, and I've had the opportunity to work with startups building DeFi protocols, P2P order book DEXs, NFTs, and cross-chain infrastructure on EVM, Cosmos and Near Protocol. I focus on writing clean, secure code and building systems that are both functional and maintainable.
When I'm not working, I like to experiment with new technologies and work on side projects. I also enjoy reading about philosophy and exploring what's happening in the Web3 space. I occasionally write about my learnings at Musing Ledger.

Where I’ve Worked
Smart Contract + Backend Engineer @ Mettalex
Aug 2023 - Present
- Built and deployed an agent-based cross-chain bridge from scratch, transferring
$1.8M worth of MTLXtokens from BSC to Ethereum after the AnySwap bridge shutdown. Developed 3 smart contracts, complete backend infrastructure, and serverless cloud functions. - Developed 15+ smart contracts across EVM (Solidity) and Cosmos (Rust) chains for an agent-based P2P OrderBook DEX where users deposit into escrow, off-chain agents match trades, and contracts handle settlement.
- Built Node.js and Python backend systems with webSocket integration for real-time orderbook updates coordinating agent logic and syncing on-chain/off-chain state.
- Created custom blockchain indexers for EVM and Cosmos chains to track events and maintain cross-chain state consistency for agent decision-making and live trading graphs.
- Stress-tested the system simulating up to 5,000 concurrent agents to identify bottlenecks and inform architecture improvements.
